ACRMD Products Plus has been in existence since 1972 and has been successful in procuring contracts through the New York State Industries for the Disabled.  It currently generates over $3,000,000 in sales and has acquired the necessary assets to support physical plant costs, computer systems, staffing, office equipment, etc.  ACRMD Products Plus is located in the northeast Morris Park area of the Bronx.  Morris Park is a middle class residential neighborhood in the borough of the Bronx, in New York City. It boarders the Pelham Bay area named after Pelham Bay Park, New York City’s largest park which lies on the neighborhood’s northeastern border.  The offices and warehouse are located at 1315 Loomis Street, Bronx, New York, a prime location for servicing the borough of the Bronx and the City of New York.  The facilities include office space and over 6,000 square feet of warehouse space.

ACRMD Products Plus has always believed in the importance of employment in our lives. People’s perception is often shaped by the jobs we do. This is a universal principle that applies equally to individuals with disabilities. Hence, employment has always been the cornerstone of the services which we provide.  Well over a decade ago ACRMD Products Plus became a producing member of New York State Industries for the Disabled. We began to provide commodities to New York State Agencies and other political sub-divisions under the New York State Set Aside Program.

 

Products Plus was born. Immediately, the availability of work opportunities for the individuals we serve improved. As the number of contracts increased so did the number of jobs for people with disabilities. Today, we provide a line of textile products which include: socks, briefs, putter pants, jump suits and a variety of uniform jackets.  More recently we began supplying plastic cutlery as well. In order to expand job opportunities, Products Plus expanded its product line by offering biodegradable cutlery. It is proposing further expansion by offering the Not-for-Profit Community an entire line of Products Plus paper products, general purpose and examination gloves, plastic and PLA compostable food service products and apparels.
